Gujarat govt asked to submit CD analysis report by July 21
Ahmedabad, May 12 (UNI) The Nanavati-Shah Commission today directed Gujarat government counsel and a voluntary organisation's advocate to submit the CD analysis report by July 21, containing details of mobile phone calls of top politicians, government officials and police officers during the post Godhra riots.
The Commission's directive to both the parties came after an appeal by Jan Sangharsh Manch Advocate Mukul Sinha.
He had submitted a selected data of about 33 phone numbers before the Commission.
Last year, Mr Sinha had disclosed before the Commission, while submitting the copy of the CDs, that after watching the CDs he had found that they contained relevant information about the post-Godhra riots.
He told the Commission that he got the copy from the Banerjee Commission, which investigated the Sabarmati Express carnage.
Advocate Sinha also stated that the CDs could throw light on the roles played by politicians and top police brass during the riots.
