Demand for focus on small, micro industries

Puducherry, May 12 (UNI) The Association of the Small Industries of the Union Territory of Puducherry today urged Chief Minister N Rangasamy to announce a new industrial policy with specific thrust on micro, small and medium enterprises here.

According to a release here, the Association submitted a memorandum to Mr Rangasamy demanding more comprehensive packages under 'Vision 2007' It was esssential to protect and promote micro insustries through legislations and fiscal support, the release added.
