Congress and BSP file nomination for Daltonganj Assembly bypoll

Daltonganj, May 12 (UNI) A candidate each from Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party today filed their nomination papers for by-election to Daltonganj Assembly seat slated for June two.

With today's nominations, so far three candidates filed papers for the by-poll. On May 8 Jharkhand Vikas Morcha candidate had filed his nomination.

The last date for filing nomination is May 15 and scrutiny of the papers would be done on the next day.

The last date for withdrawal of names has been fixed on May 18.

The by-election is due after the sitting MLA and JD leader Inder Singh Namdhari resigned from the seat on March 29.

He has decided to fight the by-poll as an Independent candidate.
