CAPD official land in Vigilance net
Jammu, May 12 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) today registered a case against a senior official of consumer affairs and public distribution department for possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
As per an official Kewal Krishan Gandotra, the then TSO Jammu who has raised immovable and movable assets which are disproportionate to his known source of income, landed in Vigilance trap during the course of investigation of multi-crore BPL ration scam.
A FIR was registered against him in this regard. The SVO official unearth his property including a palatial house at Channi Himmat Jammu fitted with costly electronic gadgets and furniture items and furnishings, some benami properties besides movable assets in the shape of cars, gold ornaments, bank deposits and cash worth Rs 6.79 Lakhs recovered during his house search.
Following the preliminary investigation, the Vigilance today registered a formal case against the accused at Jammu, sources said adding that some property both moveable and immovable has also been seized.
