Call for tapping 'youth power'

Rajahmundry, May 12 (UNI) A national seminar on 'Youth Empowerment and Role of NGOs' organised here today emphasised the need for tapping the capabilities of the youth to speed up integral growth of the nation.

The seminar, organised by Samatha Seva Samiti(SSS), an NGO, called upon the 'Young India' to rise to the demands of time and contribute towards national development.

Andhra Pradesh State Human Rights Commission Secretary S Challappa said financial assistance alone would not accelerate youth power and called for chalking out skill development programmes.

Speaking on the occasion Doordarshan, Hyderabad Director (news division) Patnala J Sudhakar called upon the youth to acquire communication skills to meet the demands of liberalisation, privatisation and globalisation.

UNI
