Bihar MLC daughter missing

Muzaffarpur, May 12(UNI) RJD member of the Bihar Legislative Council(MLC) Dinesh Singh's daughter Nishi who went missing on May four, is suspected to have been abducted for a huge ransom.

Official sources here today said that though there was no formal demand for any ransom so far, it was believed that Rs one crore had been sought from the girl's family by the alleged abductors.

Quoting the family sources, the officials said the issue came to light very recently after Nishi's uncle Anil Singh had lodged a complaint in the local police station about the alleged kidnapping of his niece and the demand for Rs one crore as ransom.

Though the police had already launched a massive manhunt to rescue the girl and nab the alleged abductors, none had so far been picked up even for questioning.

Meanwhile,informed sources has ruled out the possibility of abduction and suspect that the girl might have eloped with her long time friend Shivarth Sharma.

Incidentally, despite the government's claim of improvement in the law and order situation, the number of kidnapping cases has started rising recently with reports of abduction coming from the capital city as well as from other places too causing concern among the people.
