Amar Singh resigns as UPDC head

Lucknow, May 12 (UNI) Following the defeat of Samajwadi Party in the Uttar Pradesh elections, senior party leader Amar Singh today tendered his resignation as the chairman of Uttar Pradesh Development Council (UPDC).

Besides, Mandi Parishad chairman Shivpal Singh Yadav, UP Agro chairman Natthu Singh and State Higher Education department advisor Rajnikant Verma also submitted their resignation to acting chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Mr Yadav has accepted their resignations.
