1056 cases settled in Lok Adalats

Chandigarh, May 12 (UNI) As many as 1056 cases were settled in the Lok Adalats organised at Jagadhari, Jind, Sirsa, Safidon, Narwana and Hansi by Haryana State Legal Services Authority.

A spokesman for the Authority said that out of 1056 cases 55 cases were pertaining to death or injury arising out of vehicle accidents.

He said that an amount of Rs 76.32 lakh was awarded as compensation. Other 1001 cases were pertaining to other categories like civil bank loan cases at pre-litigative stage as well as pending were also solved.
