TRS MLA remanded to judicial custody
Hyderabad, May 11: A magistrate court today remanded Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA S Bapu Rao, facing charges in the sensational fake passport case, to judicial custody till May 25.
Mr Rao, who surrendered before the police yesterday, was accused of securing passports for others in the name of his family members.
The Central Crime Station (CCS) police, investigating the case, produced Mr Rao before the court and lodged him in Chenchalguda Jail after the remand.
Mr Rao had been absconding after a case was registered against him on May 3.
He was the second TRS MLA to surrender in connection with the fake passport case after Mr K Lingaiah surrendered on April 27.
