Telangana can progress only on statehood: BJP leader

Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh, May 11 (UNI) BJP National Secretary N Indrasena Reddy today said the Telangana Region can develop only when it was accorded statehood.

Talking to mediapersons here, he charged Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy with not showing as much interest in projects in Telangana as he was with those in his own Kadapa District.

Demanding a white paper on the progress of work in irrigation projects in the Telangana, he claimed Dr Reddy, who promised water for 16 lakh acre, could not even provide water for even half of the promised area.

Mr Reddy alleged the Chief Minister was only talking about the projects in Telangana and not doing anything. During the Congress rule, these irrigation projects would remain only on paper.
