Sugar prices improve on better buying support
Mumbai, May 11 (UNI) Sugar prices improved on better buying support, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchant's Association said today here.
Sugar in small grade remained steady on moderate demand while medium grade went up by Rs ten per quintal on reduced stock supply.
Sugar in ex-mill small grade came down by Rs five per quintal on poor demand while medium grade rose by Rs 15 per quintal on increase of fresh demand.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,295/1,330, Medium grade Rs 1,320/1,385, Ex-mill Small grade Rs 1,275/1,295, Medium grade Rs 1,300/1,345.
