Stray dogs bite Todler to death
Bangalore, May 11 (UNI) In a macabre incident, a four-year-old boy was bitten to death by stray dogs in Ramanagarm, about 60 km from here today.
Police said that Yasin Khan was attending nature call when a pack of dogs attacked him and he died of multiple bite injuries.
It was stated that a mutton stall owner had thrown some waste at the nearby bush and dogs were fighting with each other to grab their share.
Tense situation prevailed in the town for some time following the incident as protesters slammed Municipal authorities not taking enough steps to end stray dog menace and lack of cleanliness.
Ramnagar town forms part of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy's constituency. Town Municipal Commissioner Shivanna pacified the public by assuring to take steps to maintain cleanliness in the town.
This was third death due to dog bite in the State since last two months. Earlier two children were killed by dogs in Bangalore city.
