Mumbai, May 11: The Rupee today ended flat at 41.26 per US dollar from its last close of 41.27, dealers said.

It rebounded from lows because the early demand for dollars from importers faded. Exporters also sold dollars as and when the Rupee fell below 41.40 rupees per US dollar, dealers said.

The widely traded 8.07 per cent 2017 paper closed lower at Rs 99.30 against its previous close of Rs 99.62.

The bonds closed lower as cutoff on the 7.49 per cent, 2017 tender beat estimates. Strong IIP data signals risk of firm interest rates added to the selling.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate at Rs 40.00 per US dollar, up by 91 paise from its yesterday's rate of Rs 40.91 per US Dollar, according to a RBI spokesperson here.
