Somnath to felicitate 'Kalaignar"

Chennai, May 11 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee will felicitate Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at a function in the State Assembly tomorrow marking the latter's completion of 50 years in the House.

A colourful and huge invite got up to mark the occasion from Assembly Speaker R Avuadiyappan says Mr Karunanidhi will deliver a special address thanking Mr Chatterjee for his felicitations.

The collage on the cover shows 'Kalaignar' as Mr Karunanidhi is called, in various moods and stages of his life including pictures of his childhood, wearing a suit (a rarity for the traditionally dhoti-shirt clad politician wearing trademark black tinted glasses) and also one with his one time friend former Chief Minister MGR.

It sums up his life in pictures reflecting important events and moods.

The invite itself can be unfolded to revel a huge poster of the leader who has traversed the political spectrum of the state like a colossus.
