Select metal prices ease further on poor industrial demand
Mumbai, May 11 (UNI) Select metal prices eased further on poor industrial demand in line with the London Metal Exchange, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said today.
In the ferrous section, copper heavy, copper utensils and brass cuttings declined by Rs 500, Rs 700 and Rs 300 per quintal respectively on increased offers by stockists.
In the non-ferrous section, copper wire bars and zinc slab drifted lower by Rs 200 each per quintal while lead ingots fell by Rs 100 per quintal thin buying support.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 35,300, Copper utensils - Rs 32,500, Brass utensils - Rs 25,700, Brass cuttings - Rs 26,500 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,900.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 39,300, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,100, Zinc slabs - Rs 20,000, Lead ingots - Rs 9,900, Tin slab - Rs 750 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 2,270 (per kg).
