Rupee trades at 41.43/44 against dollar
Mumbai, May 11: The Indian rupee today came down further to see a two-week low in the morning sesson.
The domestic unit was trading at 41.43/44 per dollar against the previous close of 41.28/30 on thursday.
The depreciation of the domestic unit has been attributed to the fall in global equity markets which has prompted a rise in risk aversion and selling in Asian currencies today, said dealers.
At 09:40 hrs the partially convertible rupee was trading at 41.43/44, a level last traded on 30 April.
The rupee had hit a nine-year high of 40.53 on Monday, but has fallen two percent since then.
