Mayawati to decide on staking claim on May 12

Lucknow, May 11: Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati has calleda meeting of her BSP's legislature tomorrow to decide the future courseof action following indications that party would gain an absolutemajority in the 403 member-strong legislative assembly.

The meeting has been called for tomorrow evening. ''Till the time,official results are announced, the party cannot practically chalk outa strategy,' said a BSP leader.

Mayawati has so far refrained from making a public statement onthe landslide victory. It is likely that she would stake her claim toform the government after meeting her legislators.
