Kerala HC direction to Govt on Smart City
Kochi, May 11 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today directed government counsel to get instructions on a public interest petition seeking the publication of the proposed agreement between the state government and the Dubai-based TECOM on the Smart City Infopark project here.
A Division Bench comprising Mr Justices M Sasidharan Nambiar and Antony Dominic gave this direction on a petition filed by Mr Roy Thomas, an advocate practising at the high court.
According to the petitioner, the agreement between the state government and TECOM was kept a secret and it should be published for the benefit of the public.
The petitioner also sought appropriate changes in the agreement so that all land acquisition expenditure for the project was met by the Dubai company.
