Kavveri Telecom acquires Canadian firm
New Delhi, May 11 (UNI) Targeting the North American market, Bangalore-based telecom products manufacturer Kavveri Telecom today announced the acquisition of Canada's DCI Digital Communications for two million dollars.
DCI, specialising in radio frequency interference (RFI) products, now becomes a fully-owned subsidiary of Kavveri, the company informed the BSE.
Besides opening markets in North America, the acquistion will also add a significant number of products in GSM, CDMA and WiMAX markets to Kavveri's portfolio, said company's secretary Venkateswarlu.
''The product line of DCI will be manufactured here for the Indian market as well as for the developed markets of North America where we already have a very good customer base. We have strengthened the marketing network both in North America and India to aggressively target emerging market,'' said company's general manager ( business development-telecom) Colonel (retd) T S Gururaj.
