Jawan killed in accidental firing in J and K

Jammu, May 11: An Army jawan today died in an accidental mortar blast during a practice session at Falai Mandal firing range near here in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

Sepoy Vinod Kumar Yadav was practising mortar firing when one of the shells exploded resulting in on the spot death of the soldier, sources said.

Army has ordered a court of inquiry into the incident.

Last week, one jawan was killed and another injured in accidental fire during firing practice in Kathua district.
