Govt to provide coal linkages for Koradi, Chandrapur projects
New Delhi, May 11 (UNI) Going for expeditious completion of power projects in power-starved Maharashtra, the government today said it will provide coal linkages for Koradi (1,600 MW) and Chandrapur (800 MW) projects.
These would be available once the Machakatta coal block is commissioned amounting to 12.3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh decided.
An additional gas will be provided for the Uran power project and the government would also facilitate the supply of 5.4 MMSCD of gas for the proposed Uran expansion project of 1,040 MW through the Kakinada gas pipeline from the KG basin.
The meeting also agreed that BHEL would expedite the delivery of boiler and turbine and generators for the Parli, Paras projects.
