FAFI to hold small industry entrepreneur meet

Visakhapatnam, May 11 (UNI) The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Industries (FAFI) President today announced State Small Scale Industries Minister G Surya Rao would inaugurate the Regional Conference of North Andhra Small Scale Entrepreneurs meet at the backward district of Srikakulam on May 17.

Speaking to newsmen, he said Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhra Reddy announced the small and major industries policy 2005-2010 providing employment opportunities to youth.

The entire coastal Andhra region from Srikakulam to Nellore depeneded on agriculture and it was unfortunate that agro-based industries were not being encouraged hitherto.

He appealed to the nationalised banks to provide loans for entrepreneurs who were willing to set up ute industrial units in the region.

The federation will also celebrate its 15th anniversary on June 25 in Hyderabad, he added.
