CPCL posts highest turnover
Chennai, May 11 (UNI) Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) today announced it posted its highest-ever turnover for 2006-2007 at Rs 29,349 crore as against Rs 25,409 crore in the previous year, registering an increase of about 16 per cent.
Talking to mediapersons here, CPCL Managing Director K K Acharya said "the profit before interest, depreciation and taxes for the year 2006-2007 is Rs 1,311 crore.
"The profit before tax (PAT) is Rs 881 crore as against Rs 723 crore for the previous year," he said adding "the PAT for the current year is Rs 565 crore as against Rs 481 crore for the previous year, an increase of 18 per cent." On gross refinery margin (GRM), he said CPCL has achieved GRM of five US Dollar for 2006-2007 net of under recoveries.

recommended
a
dividend
of
120
per
cent
for
2006-2007," he
said
adding
"CPCL's
payment
to
exchequer
during
this
year
has
been
Rs
6,175
crore
compared
to
Rs
5,436
crore
during
the
year
2005-2006."
