Congress has improved its position in Uttar Pradesh:Dharam Singh
Bangalore, May 11 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and Opposition leader in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly N Dharam Singh today claimed that the election results of Uttar Pradesh Assembly has proved that the Congress party has gained considerably.
"Congress has improved its position from last election, but Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was the one which has been pushed further down", he told newsmen here.
He said the Congress has gained 12 per cent to 14 per cent more votes in this election, while BJP has lost 62 per cent to 68 per cent votes. "BJP is loosing its ground not only in Uttar Pradesh but also in Karnataka. In the next election BJP would be completely wiped out in Karnataka," he added.
