Congress has improved its position in UP: Dharam Singh
Bangalore, May 11 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly N Dharam Singh today claimed that the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election results prove that the party has gained considerably.
''Congress has improved its position from last election, but the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been pushed further down,'' he told newspersons here.
The former Chief Minister said the Congress had gained 12 -14 per cent more votes in this election, while BJP had lost 62-68 per cent votes.
''BJP is losing its ground not only in Uttar Pradesh, but also in Karnataka. In the next election, BJP will be completely wiped out in Karnataka,'' he added.
