Cong MLAs to meet Sonia to demand Delhi CM's resignation

New Delhi, May 11 (UNI) Despite her apology, the controversy over Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit's alleged remarks on people from UP and Bihar settled in Delhi refuses to die down with two Congress MLAs today joining the list of those demanding her resignation over the issue.

Condemning alleged remarks by the Chief Minister that people from Bihar and UP settled in Delhi were a burden on its infrastructure, Congress MLA Mahabal Misra demanded her resignation over the issue.

Mr Misra said he would meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi over the issue.

Congress MLA Bhisham Sharma also called for the resignation of Ms Dikshit. He said he would write to Ms Sonia Gandhi in this regard.

Also, he said he would lead a delegation of 15 to 20 MLAs to the Congress president in this context.
