Alva congratulates Mayawati

Panaji, May 11 (UNI) AICC general secretary Ms Margret Alva, in charge of Goa desk, has congratulated BSP chief Mayawati for her roaring success in Uttar Pradesh elections and wished her well.

Commenting on the developments in UP at a press conference here today, Ms Alva said Rahul Gandhi tried his best to improve Congresses position convincingly.

It could have further done well had the party built booth level committees for the last ten years in UP.

In Goa she said, she was confident of coming back to power with booth level committees constituted to strive for success of the party.
