5 killed as murrum quarry caves in Chhattisgarh

Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh, May 11: Five labourers were killed and another seriously injured when a murrum quarry caved in at village Javargaon near here yesterday.

Police said the labourers, engaged by a contractor, were engaged in digging when the quarry caved in. The bodies and injured were retrieved with the deployment of JCB machine.

Four labourers died on the spot and another died in the district hospital.
