3 held for violating AP Wildlife Protection Act

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, May 11 (UNI) The wildlife officials arrested three persons for violating Andhra Pradesh Wildlife Protection Act at Aagadalalanka village here today.

Forest Range Officer A Srirama Murthy said J Nagaraju, J Narasimha Rao and L Venkata Rao were arrested for illegally catching fish from Kolleru Lake.

Mr Murthy said the lake was protected under Wildlife Protection Act.

The arrested were produced before a magistrate court and were remanded in judicial custody, he added.
