27 life convicts to be released

Chennai, May 11 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Government today ordered the release of 27 life convicts, including a woman, to commemorate Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's golden jubilee in the State Assembly.

An official release here said the Government had obtained Governor S S Barnala's consent and ordered the release of 27 convicts, who had served 14 years imprisonment, in various prisons.
