17 feared dead as bus falls from bridge

Hajipur, Bihar, 11 (UNI) About 17 people have been killed and 15 other injured when a bus carrying them fell down from Mahatma Gandhi setu, near the Hajipur police station under Vaishali district during wee hours today.

When the Patna-bound bus from Motihari reached near the Pillar No 7 of the bridge, the driver lost control over the vehicle and the bus fell down on the river-bed, official sources said here.

Rescue opeations are on.
