TN decides CBI probe into 'Dinakaran' attack

Chennai, May 10 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu government has decided to hand over all the cases pertaining to the attack on Tamil daily at Madurai to the CBI.

An official release here said the Tamil Nadu government had sent a detailed communication to the Centre in this regard.

An irate mob ransacked the Tamil daily 'Dinakaran' office yesterday and set fire to it to protest against a report published by the daily.

The report was a survey on who would be the political heir of Mr Karunanidhi.

According to the survey, Mr Stalin was the frontrunner with 70 per cent votes and Mr Azhagiri and Ms Kanimozhi had two per cent support each.
