Kapurthala, May 10 (UNI) SAD working President Sukhbir Singh Badal has written to the Punjab Government to set up a judicial commission to probe into the false criminal cases registered against Akali workers during Congress rule.

Addressing a press conference at the residence of District Youth Akali dal President Satbir Singh Bittu at village Kheeranwali today, Mr Badal said the judicial probe would help in redressing the grievances of the Akali workers who faced attrocities during the regime of Congress.

Replying to a question regarding the registration of false cases against Congress workers as alleged by Capt Amarinder Singh, he claimed that the former chief minister has gone berseck and asked him to idetify cases. On the contrary the Congress government booked many former Akali ministers and workers in false criminal cases, he alleged.

When his attention was drawn towards the arrest of Bholath Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira in a theft case, Mr Badal said everyone knew about the Khaira family.
