Manmohan to arrive in TN capital on May 11

Chennai, May 10: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will arrive here tomorrow on a day's visit to the city.

During his brief visit, Dr Singh will participate in the public meeting to commemorate the completion of 50 years of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi in the State Assembly.

Dr Singh would arrive here from New Delhi at 1740 hrs by a special aircraft.

After a brief reception at the airport, he would motor down to Island Grounds to attend the meeting and later leave for New Delhi at 2055 hrs, according to an official release here today.

Apart from Dr Singh, AICC President Sonia Gandhi, Former Prime Ministers V P Singh and I K Gujral besides Left Party leaders Prakash Karat and A B Bardhan would attend.
