Man, son murdered; bodies thrown into pond

Rajkot, May 10 (UNI) The bodies of a man and his son were recovered from a pond at Hasanpar village in Wankaner Taluka of the district last evening and postmortem reports indicate they had been murdered.

The village head Avcharbhai had informed the police that two bodies were floating in the pond.

A police party recovered the bodies and sent them for postmortem at Civil Hospital here. Postmortem reports today revealed, that the bodies were strangled by unidentified persons before been thrown in the pond.

Few days back, the deceased father and son had been admitted in Wankaner Hospital for severe fever. On May 7, the duo had reportedly left the hospital without intimating hospital authorities, police said.
