Leopard caught in Kamakhya temple
Guwahati, May 10 (UNI) Forest authorities here captured a leopard late last night near the Kamakhya temple, after it had managed to injure a villager.
The leopard was then shifted to the Assam State Zoo this morning, where he will be treated for his injuries, zoo officials informed today.
Assam State Zoo DFO Narayan Chnadra Mahanta said the leopard was taking shelter in a house after it had injured the villager.
''We rushed to the spot and captured the leopard using tranquiliers,'' he said.
He informed that the leopards reside in the Neelachal hill and come out in search of food.
