GGSIP university gets 'Grade A' from NAAC
New Delhi, May 10 (UNI) The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha (GGSIP) University has been accredited with 'Grade A' Institutional score by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
A peer team from NAAC visited the University from February 19 to 21 and gave it the Institutional score between 85 per cent to 90 per cent.
The accreditation is valid for a period of five years, a University spokesperson said.
NAAC in its commendation said the university, established eight years ago, has evolved as a successful professional institute with diversified programme option amd modern curricula.
It also commended the university for its academic and administrative discipline.
NAAC is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country.
It is an outcome of the recommendations of the National Policy in Education (1986) that laid special emphasis on upholding the quality of higher education in India.
