Five members killed in a stone wall collapse

Kolar, Karnataka, May 10 (UNI) Five members of a family, including a teen aged girl, were killed on the spot when a stone slab fell on them while asleep last night in Venkatapura village about 20 km from here.

Police said that the victims, due to hot weather, were sleeping outside the house when a 6 ft long and two and half feet width stone slab fell on them.

The victims included Srirama Reddy (53) his wife Lakshmi Devamma (45), Daughter Aruna (17), Grand Daughter Nandini (7) Lakshmi (5).

However, other two members of the family son Chennakesha and three year old grand daughter Naveena escaped unhurt as they were sleeping inside the house.
