Delhi CM's effigies burnt protesting against her remarks

Patna, May 10 (UNI) People in several parts of Bihar today burnt effigies of Delhi Chief minister Sheila Dikshit protesting against her remarks about the people of the state living in the National capital and demanded her resignation.

Shouting slogans against Ms Dikshit and her party, the Congress, hundreds of Patna university students gathered in front of campus condemning her yesterday's remarks and burnt her effigies. They demanded immediate resignation of her as the Chief minister and revocation of her comments.

Similar protests were also organsied in other parts of the city where supporters of different political parties including the BJP and Janta Dal (United) burnt effigies and shouted anti-UPA slogans.

Delhi Chief minister's remarks about the people from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh living in the National capital and blaming them for the present chaotic situation had casued tremendous resentment in all walks of life here.
