Construction workers conduct picketing agitation

Puducherry, May 10 (UNI) Construction workers affiliated to the CITU today picketing agitation to press their demands.

General Secretary Kaiyan led the agitation against the reported denial of the board officials to accept applications for enrolment of the workers.

Later, Joint Director of Labour department Mr Sivanesan held talks with the agitators and assured them that new members would be enrolled from June 1, following which they called off the stir.
