Clash over bus operation
Morena, MP, May 10 (UNI) A dispute over operation of private buses in Morena district led to caste-conflict between Gurjar and Yadav community members in Sumawali Police Station area today causing injuries to four people, including three policemen.
The dispute over plying buses on Morena-Sumawali road took a violent turn when the rival groups, each having a strength of about 400, came face-to-face on a bridge over the Asan river near Ghurraiya Basai village and clashed with each other using firearms, spades and lathis, police said.
A youth Dharmendra Yadav who was seriously injured had been referred to the Gwalior hospital.
The agitated mob attacked the police party which reached the spot. Sumawali Police Station Incharge N K Tripathi, ASI Sabhajeet Parmar and driver Alok Kujur were injured. The police vehicle was also smashed, police added.
