CID seizes narcotics worth Rs 5 Lakh

Nadia, May 10 (UNI) CID sleuths today arrested a man at Nakashipara in Nadia district on charges of possessing opium of 5.5 kg worth Rs 5 lakh, police said.

The man identified as Rabin Mandal, was allegedly carrying the narcotics from Palashi to Nakashipara bazar.

The CID acted on a tip-off and caught him while he was trying to sell off the drug at a local market.
