Bomb recovered, diffused at Simaluguri

Guwahati, May 10 (UNI) Police recovered a powerful explosive device, planted by suspected ULFA militants, in a market in Upper Asom's railway town at Simaluguri in Sivasagar district this morning.

An Army bomb disposal squad diffused the bomb at around 8-30 AM, a few hours after the bomb was spotted.

All modes of traffic along the main thoroughfare in the town were blocked after the bomb had been spotted.
