Yogi hints at Uma's return to BJP
Varanasi, May 9 (UNI) Dropping enough hints about former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti's return to BJP, party MP from Gorakhpur Yogi Adityanath today claimed positive results in this regard were expected shortly.
''VHP leaders are working steadfastly to pave way for Ms Bharti's return to the BJP fold. We expect positive results on the Bharatiya Jan Shakti chief's return to BJP,'' the MP from Gorakhpur said while interacting with newspersons here.
Justifying the attack on Christian priests in Kolhapur (Maharashtra) yesterday by the VHP-Bajrang Dal brigade, the Yogi said ''there is nothing wrong in such a treatment to people indulging in religious conversion.'' ''Hindus do not believe in violence but their tolerance to attack by alien religions should not be taken for granted, otherwise such attacks will follow,'' he warned.
The BJP leader further said Hindutva should not be confined within the limits of religion or caste. ''For me Hindutva is the philosphy of nationalism...it has nothing to do with religion or caste. Every person who loves the motherland is a Hindu.'' ''Mera bus chale to mein aise sabhi logon ko desh se bahar kar doo jo Bharat virodhi karyon mein lipt hain'' (I will deport all those people who are indulging in anti-national acts whenever I get to do so).
Queried about his open support to BSP candidate in the election to Mau assembly seat, Yogi Adityanath, justifying his decision said ''there is nothing wrong in that. Our priority is to ensure the defeat of mafia-turned-independent MLA Mukhtar Ansari from the Mau seat...'' Denying differences with BJP, Yogi Adityanath said ''only issue-based differences existed in the past which were ironed out fully following intervention of saints.'' ''I am all for Hindutva and have never separated from the BJP...there were some differences on certain issues, which are settled now,'' he added.
''The main issue of difference was the list of candidates for East UP being made public even before being given final shape.'' UNI
