Two undertrials get 1-yr simple imprisonment for fleeing from prison
Nadiad, May 9 (UNI) A local court has convicted two undertrials, who escaped from Bhilodra Jail, 5 km away from Nadiad town in May 2005, to one year simple imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 500 on them.
Nadiad Judicial Magistrate R P Pandya yesterday held - Shankar Chauhan and Jaisinh Papata - guilty of escaping from the prison on May 15 along with another undertrial.
On a complaint filed by Bhilodra jailer, police had re-arrested Shankar and Jaisinh on August 17, 2005. However, Ramesh Parmar is still at large.
