Two shot dead in Manipur

Imphal, May 9 (UNI) Two persons were shot dead ino separate incidents at Imphal today.

Police said a man was shot dead at Lamphel by unknown armed persons.

In another incident armed persons fired at a man at Langol Housing Part II. The man succumbed to his injuries, police said.

Both the persons were not yet identified and police were enquiring into the two cases.

Meanwhile in a separate incident troops of 32 Assam Rifles apprehended a cadre of People's Liberation Army (PLA) cadre from Imphal areas, Assam Rifles officials said.
