Two killed as lorry overturns

Vellore, Tamil Nadu, May 9 (UNI) Two persons, incuding one from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, were killed and as many seriously injured when a lorry overturned and fell into a 200-ft-deep gorge at Bhadrapalli hillock here today.

Police said the lorry, transporting cattle, was proceeding to Vaniyampadi from V Kota in Andhra Pradesh.

The deceased were identified as Devaraj (30), hailing from Guntakal in Andhra Pradesh, and Saleem (50) of Ambur.

The injured were admitted to a hospital in Peranampattu.
