Sugar prices declines on thin buying support
Mumbai, May 9 (UNI) Sugar prices declined on thin buying support, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchant's Association said today.
Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades eased by Rs eight and Rs ten per quintal respectively on lack of fresh demand.
Sugar in small grade went up by Rs five per quintal on improved demand while medium grade fell by Rs five per quintal on improved offers by stockists.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,300/1,375, Medium grade: Rs 1,320/1,385, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,275/1,295, Medium grade: Rs 1,300/1,340.
