MLA demands judicial probe into attack on him

Patna, May 9 (UNI) Independent MLA from Maraurha Assembly segment Lal Babu Rai today demanded judicial probe in connection with yesterday's attack on him.

In his letter to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Mr Rai said some criminals attacked him near Bahismara village when he was on his way to Assembly Constituency from Chapra.

He said son of Ran Babu Rai, owner of Rai Construction, attacked his car and manhandled his bodyguard, who was left with no option but to open fire in self-defence.

Mr Rai said his two supporters were injured in the incident.

An FIR was lodged only after intervention of the District Magistrate.

Mr Rai urged the government to institute a judicial probe into the incident.
