Magistrate attacked in Banka

Banka, May 9 (UNI) The Judicial Magistrate of Banka and his bodyguard sustained serious injuries when some criminals lobbed bombs at them near Badhia More under Chandan police station area in the district, last night.

Police said here today the miscreants lobbed bombs at Janardhan Tripathi and his bodyguard when the duo resisted their bid to loot them. The robbers, however, managed to loot cash and a mobile phone and fled.

Mr Tripathi was admitted to local hospital while his bodyguard was referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital.

Raids were on to nab the robbers, police added.
